Large Group Classes
For those wishing to engage in a fun process of learning a new language and exploring art with others! Each class will include lessons in vocabulary/grammar, conversation practice, and we will end with taking a look at a work of art. Currently offering 6-week sessions in three levels for adults. Class size ranges from 6-10 students.
Beginner 1
This class is for students with zero to very little Spanish experience. We will start from the absolute beginning with the alphabet, definite and indefinite articles, subject pronouns, and more. With an emphasis on learning the basics of grammar/pronunciation, this class will not include an art component. Topics will rotate monthly. Meets for 6-week sessions and can be repeated.
Beginner 2
This class is for students who have completed beginner 1 or have some prior Spanish knowledge who are looking to continue learning beginner-level grammar and vocabulary. Topics will rotate monthly and may include adjectives, adverbs,regular and irregular verbs in present tense, interrogative words, and more! Meets for 6-week sessions and can be repeated.
Intermediate Book Club
Students in this level feel comfortable with basic vocabulary and grammar including present tense verbs. Each class, we will discuss a short story written by a Hispanic author. Classes will include brief lessons in vocabulary and grammar from the reading, with the remainder of the time focused on developing conversational skills.
